Nick worked on a prototype project at Relic Entertainment with me, as an artist. We were unable to provide him with any baseline to start from, and very little support. Despite these difficult circumstances, he was able to create appropriate character and world art, under a very tight deadline.
When his work was shown to the studio, people assumed that Relic had provided Nick and team with art assets as opposed to him creating them from scratch. Nick was very obviously highly engaged in the project and appeared to be an energizing force for the rest of the team. He sought feedback at appropriate times and was able to make adjustments to the direction of his work as needed. All in, working with Nick Kubash on the project was a very positive experience!
